Willing to provide: IOWA Cottontail Rabbit Hunt
This is for the 2006-2007 Rabbit-Hunting Season. I have found the Hot Spots in Iowa where the larger populations of rabbit s are.
I would be bringing one other hunting buddy along. It will take at least 10 to 15 beagles for a 3 to 5 day hunt. This way we can have fresh dogs in the morning and afternoon for each day, and have backup dogs if needed in case of injuries. Everyone will be responsible to shoot and bring home his or her own rabbits. In other words: who ever shoot s the rabbit is responsible for seeing that the rabbits get taken care of (cleaned, and taken home). I will be happy to instruct in these areas if necessary.
In exchange for: I would have to hire someone to tend to my kennels here in town, and in the country in my absence. I would need all our traveling expenses to Iowa (money spent for fuel both ways) covered. We would also need our motel bill prepaid. We would buy our own licenses & food.
If your party lives near, or will be traveling through our home area on the way to the hunt your more than welcome to ride along with us to save extra fuel cost. You can bring up to 3 other hunting buddies to join in the hunt & share expenses. We can also find one or two other hunters s to join the hunting party, and share expenses. I just don t want the hunting party to exceed 5 or 6 hunters combined. I can provide transportation for up to 6 adults.
Contact me soon if this interests you. We will need a fair amount of time to prepare. We re in no way trying to profit on these trips. It s only fair that if we re providing well breed, well trained, trash proof hounds, and transportation that others in the hunting party put in a significant contribution.
Additional details: Hunter Safety is a big issue! I m Licensed Hunter Education Instructor through the Indiana Department Of Natural Resources. We will provide proof in advance that we have went through hunter education courses, and in return we expect your party to also provide the same proof in advance. We don t want any VP Chaney s in this hunting party. This will be a safe and enjoyable hunt !
