Most of Jason's prior writings are critical writing for research and professional work.  He earned a bachelor's degree in 1-9 education from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and is in the process of earning a masters degree in education, so most of his writing has been done on an academic level.

Jason has hunted deer, turkeys, ducks, pheasants, rabbits, grouse, squirrels and many other types of game for almost 15 years; trapped for 10 years and fished for more than 20 years.  "I am interested in writing about almost anything related to hunting, trapping, fishing or outdoors gear.  As a middle school geography teacher, I have had some neat experiences hunting with my students and their families as well as my own family."
